Just a Quickie~

Another day wasted, ho hum. :/ I do have some snazzy new gameplay videos showing off some of the new features I mentioned last time, though, so that's something. It's pretty encouraging how far these videos have come since the last one I uploaded, too! (Though that was around nine months ago... how time flies~)

So, without further ado...

Clothing System

Look familiar? Hurhur :B I'm hoping to have some more clothes in there before the game is done, but there are quite a few different combinations to be getting on with already, and the game only lasts a year, so there aren't going to be a huge number of chances to go shopping anyway (unless the player forfeits going on dates... which is slightly besides the point, really).

Dating Marius

Once your relationship values with him are high enough, Marius will finally stop being so damn lazy and date the player someplace other than the arcade where he works. Each boy has a place they dislike, though, so be careful! Films the player can watch at the cinema are randomised. (I remember these events taking forever to write - the video cuts off early, but the responses to each of the nine possible films are pretty long, actually. Bloody dialogue, eh).

Dating Per

Little Per's grown on me a fair bit since I created him, to be honest. It takes a fair while before you can actually date him, but to make up for it, he pretty much already likes you and will follow you practically anywhere. He'll still lose relationship points if you drag him to places he doesn't like, though.

So there you have it - not insanely interesting, but I didn't want to spoil any CGs/ special events, so it's dates or bust, I'm afraid! Sound effects are also left out, as apparently my PC has issues actually recording sound and video at the same time...

Back to not working I go!~

  1. First of all I'd like to say, my name's Umeki. The reason why im telling you my name is because I don't want you to think I'm some random person shouting demands at you for no reason. Now on with the real comment-->Please continue making updates with this game!! I haven't seen them in a while, and I understand that you're busy with college and whatnot, and I know I don't sound like a person to tell you this, but I need reassurance that the project is not dead... Now you're probably wondering "who's this annoying person asking me to make updates?!?!". Well the answer is, I'm kind of a lurker, I read posts and support you, but I dont leave comments or post on your thread. I'm a naturally shy person so I don't post, but on the behalf of some of your fans, I decided to gather my courage and comment. The bottom line is, I'd like to let you know that there are people who still support you and your project, so please let us know from time to time about your progress! If you can, you should get a twitter account or some way to keep us updated without the effort of writing a full blogpost. If you do find the time to read this post, thank you for your hard work and your unique game ^^
    Good luck & Support,
    Umeki

  2. Thanks for the support, Umeki! I'm glad people are actually watching this place, heh. Rest assured the project's far from dead - you're right though, maybe I should cave and get a twitter or something? Hmm~

At any rate, there should be a new update coming very soon. Thanks so much for the words of encouragement!

  4. ^^ thanks so much for the reply~(To be honest, I was pretty sure you wouldnt, hehe.) Thanks for the reassurance!~ And although I really don't like twitter, with all it's conformity issues, it's a good way to keep in touch with people...(except if you're miley cyrus.)

  5. Wow, those are groovy. You managed to get the urban comic/pop visual look just right for the entire interface and character design. Complete with matching musics, multiple boys and girls in almost equal number, and interesting banters to boot! For an ambitious solo project, this is really inspiring.

Can't imagine how the game would feel if it goes into drama mode though. Guess I'm just yet that familiar with otome genre and how it works.

P.S. real boys never comment on girl's clothing, compared to otome boys. Dohoho.

  6. Thankyou! Glad you're liking the look. As for drama, the game's pretty lighthearted at the moment, but we shall see...

(And funny you mention the whole clothing thing, actually, as that was exactly what I was thinking when working on the clothing system - if the boys don't comment at all, it kind of defeats the point of choosing clothes, but I know if I had some guy making snarky comments about my outfit I probably wouldn't be badgering him for more dates! The life of an otome heroine must be hard!~)
